DigiServ™ Technologies CC is a South African Hosting Service Provider, founded in September 2001 by a local entrepreneur that was involved in the IT Industry for nearly 10 years. It wasn't until much later, January 2004 when the Closed Corporation, DigiServ™ Technologies CC, was formally registered and the trading name changed from Shadow Web Designs.

DigiServ™ is currently based in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal with call centres in Johannesburg and the United Kingdom. The company has two CC members forming the management and overseeing the day to day operations of the company.

DigiServ™ currently provides affordable, rock-solid, risk-free hosting and domain name registration to local South African consumers, businesses as well as the International market. We have International customers in the UK, USA, Germany, China, Switzerland, Russia and Australia. We also provide hosting to partnering countries such as Swaziland and the rest of Africa.

We have established a reputation for top quality service and quick response to support queries. We plan to continue to enhance not only our service delivery and service levels but also customer relations and help our customers become more successful.

We've been around hosting web sites for a very long time, and in that time we've learned a few important things. One very important factor, if not the most important thing we learned is that you don't last in this business unless you listen to your customers and put their needs first.

While other companies look at server density and profit margins as measures of success, we look at the health and success of our customers and their businesses. If they are succeeding we are succeeding. In everything we do, we ask one simple question: Is it good for our customers?

Our management is pro-actively involved in the every day tasks of not only running the business but with staff as well as communication with customers. It is just another thing that sets us apart from the competition. With larger "corporate" companies you will not find that personal touch. Escalating issues in those environments can be at times tedious. Why should it be so difficult to get hold of the management of a company just to escalate something to ensure that it is done correctly and resolved?

About our Hosting

There are a few things that we dislike as a hosting service provider, one being downtime, downtime and downtime! We hate it as much as you do and perhaps a little even more. It is therefore that we strive to uphold our 99.9% Uptime Guarantee at all times. Some times downtime can be outside of our control and that is part of any online business. It pains us during such times as we know that your business is off-line and there is nothing we can do from our side to restore the service until a partner network provider can resolve the issue.

We always ensure that our servers are running optimally and well below capacity. We have a strict no-overselling policy and will not sacrifice uptime over cramming a server full of customers and saving a few bucks in doing so. Oh no, we keep our servers well below capacity and ensure that they are well below capacity. Over-sold servers in the long run will lead to only one thing, downtime, downtime and more downtime.

The Internet is all about being online for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. If your hosting service is down for longer than a couple of minutes we know about it before you do and we are already hard at work bringing it back on-line.

All our servers have what we like to call watchdogs. If any vital server component such as e-mail, web server, excessive cpu load, or a hardware fail we will then automatically receive notification via SMS and email with the server ID every 5 minutes until the problem is fixed. This system has allowed us in the past to quickly correct problems that may go unnoticed for long periods of time, it also gives us peace of mind knowing that we can meet and exceed our 99.9% uptime guarantee.
